About Track history: 

   Established in 1989, Pannala International Racing Circuit is the largest privately owned track in Sri Lanka. Pannala Racing Complex launched under the vision of former Champion Racer and former Parliamentarian Mr. Upali Dassanayake boasts as one of the oldest and technical racing tracks in Sri Lanka. Established in the early nineties and having started with only a Motor-cross track.

 

Description: 

 This track was favorite place to famous motor racing legend Mr. Ananda wedisinghe and famous motor racing champion Mr. gayan sandaruwan. the complex has developed into a full-fledged racing complex over the years consisting of Sri Lanka’s first custom built racing track of 1.7 Km and a Moto-cross track on this unique and historical 35 acre land.

Within one and half hour’s drive (normal way), one hour’s drive (high way) from Colombo. Half hour’s from Negombo anybody can reach hire.

Currently the circuit is available for various activities including racing events, recreational and outbound events, camping, filming, carnivals, musical events, exhibitions and private functions.
